Laura Vogel was last seen before a hike in Haiku.

Laura Vogel is missing. She had spent Sunday camping in the vicinity of the “birthing pools” along the cliffs below the Haiku Community Center. Friends found her van and belongings there, but no sign of Vogel.

Laura Vogel was last in contact with friends on Sunday night, but then did not show up for a tutoring job Monday morning. She had spent Sunday camping in the vicinity of the “birthing pools” along the cliffs below the Haiku Community Center. Friends found her van and belongings there, but no sign of Vogel.Police and fire teams have conducted searches on land, in the water and in the air for the missing woman and do not suspect foul play at this point. Meanwhile dozens of friends have been busy looking for Vogel as well, even bringing in hunting dogs to try to pick up her scent on Wednesday.

DO I NEED A BEACH WEDDING PERMIT?

Yes, if you are being married on a beach in Hawaii you do need a permit. If you have a wedding coordinator, he/she usually arranges for the permit and usually will charge you for it. This is a further layer of protection for our couples, as they can rest assured that only licensed, fully insured wedding professionals will be conducting their romantic Maui beach weddings and vow renewals.

If you are arranging your wedding yourself, contact the State of Hawai athttp://hawaii.gov/dlnr/land/forms-1 to obtian a permit.
