Family Package Information
Every Package Includes:
- Travel time to and from the location, as long as it is within 30 minutes driving time (All South Side Beaches are within the travel time). Any travel time longer than 30 minutes will incur an additional charge of $75 per hour. For Hana and West Side Sessions, see below in “Travel Notes.”
- Free on-line viewing gallery with a private password for you, your friends and family to view.
- You have the option to purchase additional images directly from the on-line store located on the Behind The Lens Maui website.
- Note: Prices do not include tips or gratuities. 4.167% Hawaii Sales Tax will be added to all packages.
Travel Notes
- Any photos shot on the Hana side will include an additional $200 fee.
- Up to two locations for your shoot, if time allows and as long as the locations are within 5 miles of each other. If over 5 miles, a $50. charge will be added.
- There will be a $30 travel fee for traveling to West Maui including Kapalua Bay and Ironwoods Beach.
Package Price Note
We can customize a quote for you if the packages we offer do not fit your needs. We can include multiple bookings, trash the dress, less images in your package, multiple sessions, a shoot by a waterfall and so much more! Call for more information.
Additional Items Available For Purchase
- You also have the option to purchase additional images, prints, albums and other items directly from the on-line store on the Behind The Lens Maui website.
- Add a DVD of images for $50 each. (see below for shipping & handling).
- Add an extra hour for $300 (only one hour may be added to your package).
- Add a second photographer for $250 per hour.

Booking Procedures
- To lock in your pricing and secure your date, a non- refundable booking fee / retainer fee of a $150-$450 deposit is required. Once deposit is received, there will be no refund in the event you need to cancel regardless of how much advanced notice is given. Deposit amount will be based on the package you select.
- All clients will sign a portrait agreement.
- Acceptable method of payment: Visa, MasterCard or Cash. No personal checks, out of state checks or Moneygrams will be accepted.
- You may change your date without any other charges up to 72 hours before your shoot as long as there is availability without any charge. Your deposit will be deducted from your total fee.
- Session bookings are First Come – First Serve. As a courtesy, session date requests are reserved and held for 72 hours from the time we receive your initial inquiry. Each secured date will have an invoice outlining our agreement based on the service you are booking.
- Final payment is due no later than one week before your schedule date.

Shipping and Handling
- Shipping of your final package will be within 7-21 days from your photo shoot unless verbally told otherwise.
Shipping to multiple parties will result in additional shipping charges. - Shipping and handling fee within the United States is already included in the package price. For orders
- shipping to Canada, add $50 to the package price. For any other country, please call for shipping fees.
Wedding Information

- Add a 1-hour engagement sitting before and/or after your wedding for $400 (24) images (This price is only valid with the purchase of your photography package. Note – This is included in Maui Wedding Package “Silversword”.
- Add an extra hour for $525. an hour. Applies only to pre-set packages of two hours or more.
- Add a second photographer for $250 per hour.
- Add Minister and Coordination Fee – Call for details.
- Add a Private Singer / Guitarist for $325.

- A $250-$1,350 non- refundable booking fee / retainer fee is required to secure your date. Once deposit is received, there will be no refund in the event you need to cancel regardless of how much advanced notice is given. Deposit amount depends on package selected. You may change your date without any other charges up to 72 hours before your shoot as long as there is availability without any charge. Your deposit will be deducted from your total fee.
- Session bookings are First Come – First Serve. As a courtesy, session date requests are reserved and held for 48 hours from the time we receive your initial inquiry but is not secured on our books until the security deposit is received. Each secured date will have an invoice outlining our agreement based on the service you are booking.
- Final payment is due no later than one week before your schedule date unless agreed upon in writing.

Photoshop and Image Corrections/Manipulations for Family and Wedding Packages
Although our Family Portrait photography and Wedding photography each offer unique packages and other offers that differ from one another, our photo editing process remains the same for both photography services.
Behind The Lens Maui we will make your photos stand out by doing some light editing.
We start the editing process by removing photographs that we deem as unusable, such as closed eyes, funny faces, unflattering shots, etc. We will then enhance your images by color correcting and adding color enhancements, such as: changing the levels of the image, lighten areas if needed or change the tonal value of the image.
Afterwards, we will then crop the images as needed to make them print ready. Approximately 5% to 10% of your images, which we feel has the right look to them, will be changed to black and white, sepia tone and/or vignette images to give your photos a unique look to them. You will receive the remaining 90% to 95% of the images in color.
After the basic color correction and cropping are complete, your photos will go into Adobe Photoshop to further enhance the color tones. We will also dodge or burn a part of the image that might need a bit more enhancement. Once your photos have been edited, we will upload them to your private viewing gallery for you to view. At Behind The Lens Maui, we use a combination of natural and off-camera lighting to create a polished feel to your images.
