Thought I would share this one with you today.

You can’t get a better photographer in Maui!!! While doing business in Maui, I came across Nicole at Behind the Lens. We hired her for a week to shoot a corporate meeting, and family portraits for the attendees. I can’t say enough about her company and staff. Everyone was friendly and professional, and the photos were outstanding. As a meeting planner, she made my job an easy one, and above all took care of the client.

On a personal note, Nicole took my families pictures while we were in Maui, and did a fantastic job. My kids actually smiled at all the right times, a feat in it self! My son asked if we could do photos every time we go to Hawaii.

Nicole is amazing, and definitely someone who makes sure ever detail is taken care of.

Weddings in Ancient Egypt

In ancient Egypt it seems that young men had the liberty to choose their own brides. Getting married and having children was considered a very important issue although the ceremony was very simple and had no official or religious value. In many cases, however, a written agreement was made.

The bride’s father usually gave a dowry to the groom who bought gifts for the bride and her family before the wedding day. Polygamy was very unusual even if it is known that pharaons had very conspicuous harems.
