Engagement Portraits While in Maui

A Moment In Time-
Nick and Kristina were recently engaged and currently live on Maui and wanted to have some photos taken to remember their time together living on Maui. Kristina works for the military and is soon to be stationed in another territory. I spent about a hour with them and their cute dog at Paipu Beach which is on the South side of Maui in Wailea. Here’s a few shots from their session.
Morning Photo Sessions in Maui
Many People ask me what the mornings are like in Maui for photography. Here’s a example of a wonderful am in Maui. As you can see the colors are vibrant and intense. The key to a morning wedding or family portrait session is to start early. It’s best to meet by 8:00 am and begin by 8:15 am to ensure it’s not crowded and or too hot.
Red Roses?
Most people today identify the rose with love but, the idea of this flower representing the emotion is an ancient one. The rose is associated with a variety of goddesses, such as Isis and Aphrodite. Roses were a key ingredient in love potions in ancient Europe, and the color red was a reflection of high emotions such as passion, desire and lust.
