Maui Model Shoot

May 02
2010

Here’s a couple i-phone pictures of me shooting during an advertising model shoot for Girls 4 Sport.   We had a great time at Paipu Beach, then off to a old abandon building in Paia  that was used as some sort of a mill back in the day.  I hear this building was on one of those shows about haunted places. I can see why as it was a very spooky place to shoot but, so full of personality.

I ended up  very sunburned but, had such a blast working with my friends who were models that day. Models included: Dustin Tester- Owner of Maui Surfer Girls, Maria Souza- Water Woman and owner of Maui’s only true Stand -up Paddle School and lastly,  winner of numerous water sports awards-Andrea Moller.

Great day of photos and great time with friends!

Stand-up paddling, Maui

Andrea Moller- WATERWOMAN

Standup paddling, often referred to by its acronym, SUP, is now a rapidly growing sport that combines two of Hawai‘i’s signature ocean activities, surfing and canoe paddling. It also incorporates aspects of traditional paddleboarding, the distance sport that employs a narrow board similar to those used for windsurfing, powered by the paddler’s arms as he or she lies prone or kneels on the board. Maneuvering while standing, though, feels more natural, and for nonsurfers, is easier to learn.

Maui Health Tips

I HAD TO SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE.. My trainer- goddess of the ocean and work out is my dear friend Maria Souza, “owner of Maui’s only Stand-up Paddle School”.

Maria is a very well know water woman, personal trainer and all around athlete. I can count on my good friend Maria to get down on me when I do something that’s unhealthy for me. If I crack my neck, eat or drink things that are not healthy for me SHE’S ALL OVER MY BUTT. I enjoy a damn coke once in awhile. What’s the harm in drinking a coke now and then?

I started working out today and it’s been several months. I can tell you it felt really good to get back into it even though I know I’m going to be getting sore. My trainer.. is the one and only bad ass, Maria Souza. How lucky am I to work out with this chick… Lucky…. very lucky… I know I am going to be in good shape soon with her all over me, helping me. I can’t wait to see myself in two months. By the way, if your looking for someone to train you, beginner or an experienced athlete, Maria’s your woman.

I about to share some cool info that I stole from Maria’s site. It really will make you think twice about drinking a coke.

#6. Preliminary research indicates that 8-10 glasses of water a day
could significantly ease back and joint pain for up to 80% of

COKE
#1. In many states the highway patrol carries two gallons of Coke in
the trunk to remove blood from the highway after a car accident.
#2. You can put a T-bone steak in a bowl of Coke and it will be gone
in two days.
#3. To clean a toilet: Pour a can of Coca-Cola into the toilet bowl
and let the ‘real thing’ sit for one hour, then flush clean. The
citric acid in Coke removes stains from vitreous China .
#4. To remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers:

dipped in Coca-Cola.

Thirty minutes before ham is finished, remove the foil, allowing the
drippings to mix with the Coke for a sumptuous brown gravy.
#8… To remove grease from clothes: Empty a can of Coke into the load
of greasy clothes, add detergent, and run through a regular cycle. The
Coca-Cola will help loosen grease stains. It will also clean road haze
