Alyssa Roenigk is a senior writer and editor at ESPN The Magazine. Her work covering action sports, both in print and for EXPN.com.

Recently, Alyssa came to Maui, Hawaii to Visit and interview a Professional Surfer whose name will remain a secret until her article comes out.

During her stay, she met up with three of my good friends and I for Pizza in Paia, at a place called Flat Bread.  Meeting up with Alyssa was a great experience, she leads an interesting life, traveling the world interviewing and writing stories about fantastic people in the world of extreme sports.

In addition to Alyssa, attending dinner that night was Dustin Tester- Owner of Maui Surfer Girls, Andrea Moller- Professional Athlete, and Me Nicole Sanchez- Owner of Behind the Lens Maui, photography.

One of my dear friends is Maria Souza who owes the only Stand-up Paddle School in Maui. By the end of dinner that night, we agreed to take Alyssa out to try her hat at Stand-up paddle.
