Eight Marriage Proposals To Make Her Feel Special

Marriage proposals should be a once in a lifetime event, so if she is that special to you, then
make this moment memorable. She will feel special knowing that you went the extra mile
in preparing for this moment. If you know the answer will be “yes,” then consider a public
proposal. However, if you are not sure, then something a little more low key, will be suffice.

In addition, if you are comfortable she will say “yes,” then plan on having a wedding
photographer shoot the event and add this to your memory book. There are many ideas in
which to choose from, but here are eight to get you started.

1. This may be a little on the costlier side, but check with the local newspaper and place a full
page ad in her favorite section of the paper asking for her hand in marriage. If she is not a
newspaper reader, then perhaps place an ad on her favorite website.

2. If you live in an area where street caricaturists can be found, then arrange with them ahead
of time so that when you bring her on a particular day, they can sketch a photo of the two of
you together that includes word bubbles that proposes the question, “Will you marry me?” and
have hers with an empty bubble to be filled in with her answer.

3. This one will take some time to plan out, but arrange to send your girlfriend on a hunt,
similar to a scavenger hunt, or one with riddles that takes her all over town to the next clue,
possibly to all your favorite places together. At her final destination, you will be there on one
knee with something pretty important to ask her.

4. If the two of you frequent the local movie theater, then check with the manager ahead of
time and arrange to have an ad placed on screen before the movie starts with your marriage
proposal. Be sure it’s a movie she’s really excited about seeing so she is more likely to want to
get there early before she misses your ad.

5. Speaking of movies, you can recreate her favorite moment from her favorite romantic movie
in which you can propose to. Make her feel like a star. There are many movies to choose from,
such as the fire escape scene from Pretty Woman, wait for pouring rain as in The Notebook, or
arrange a flash mob and recreate one of the final scenes from the movie, Friends With Benefits.
You could also go with an all-time classic, Say Anything, as you stand outside her place with a
boom box playing her favorite love song at full volume from outside her window.

6. Put together a fun, but heartfelt video, and upload it to YouTube. Arrange for someone to
tell her that she just has to see this video for her to log on or have someone download it onto
Facebook and have her tagged on it so that the video appears on her page. If you plan the video
right, don’t start it with yourself so that she thinks nothing of it until suddenly you appear on
the screen in front of her.

7.  If your visiting us in Maui, how about Setting a dinner reservations at a nice  restaurant near the ocean’and tell her you’d like to take a walk on the beach to watch the sunset together before dinner.  Arrange to capture your moment on film with your Maui Photographer ahead of time and when you get to the beach, tell her you forgot something in the car. You can meet up with your professional Maui Photographer and give him/ her the ring. The photographer will place the ring box into the sand and mark the spot with a ” X” in  the middle of the a big heart outlined in the sand in white coral.  You’ll walk the beach with her and when you come up to the big heart,  you’ll bend to one knee at the big “X” and grab the ring box and ask her.  Your Maui Photographer will capture the moment and then wisk you away for sunset photos.  If you live by a beach and not coming to Maui, you can maybe do your heart out of rocks.

8. This one is not really public, but write out (not typed) a deep, sincere love letter about how
special she is and that she has made you become the man you always wanted to be, etc. Leave
it somewhere in the open at your place and after she arrives excuse yourself from the room.
When you see that she found it and is reading it, quietly go behind her so that after she reads it
and turns around, she will find you on bended knee. Add a rose in your teeth for a nice touch.
