The Maui Wedding That Was Meant To Be.

It was pouring in Central Maui on the way to my morning wedding in Wailea. I’ve lived on Maui for the past eight years and have never had had a wedding rained out but, this morning I was a concerned that it wouldn’t clear up long enough for their intimate beach wedding.

As I pulled up to the Four Seasons Hotel to meet my couple it began to pour and wasn’t letting up. I could see the disappointment in the couples eyes so I told them to climb in and we would find some sun. I was really nervous but drove with determination to find a spot for them to get married. At the end of North Kihie I could see the rain was letting up and as soon as I pulled off the road, the rain stopped and it started to clear up. I worked out just perfectly, the rain stopped just long enough for the ceremony and for me to take some photos of them on the beach. Sometimes things are just meant to be.
