Wedding Traditions- Did you know?

Many cultures worldwide have been known to have a little fun before the wedding day, where either the groomsmen would kidnap the bride-to-be. They would leave clues for the groom to find her, and once he did, he would have to pay a ransom to get her back. This is still practiced in some countries today. Other cultures have it the other way around, where the groom does the kidnapping and his friends would have to retrieve her and that is how they got the name groomsmen.
