11 Ideas For The Best Marriage Proposals

If a marriage proposal alone can create a lasting memory, can you imagine if the proposal was really thought out and creative, or even in public? Customize your proposal with one of the below 11 ideas or come up with one of your own, just make it special and one she will never forget.
Also, if you are looking to capture your marriage proposal moment forever, consider hiring a wedding photographer to shoot your proposal, if you can. This can be the first part of your wedding photography package.
1. For the romantic at heart, turn off the lights in your home and create a path by using candles that will guide her to either the ring itself or perhaps you can be at the end of that path on bended knee waiting for her. If you have connections at a restaurant or another business that will allow for the same effect, that would make this moment even more romantic.
2. If opportunity presents itself, get hold of her digital camera and head out with a buddy. You can be creative with this idea and have each photo of you in various positions with homemade signs with one word each that spells out to read, Will, You, Marry, Me? Then come up with a reason for her to download her photos and wait for her reaction.
3. You can either make your own or find a company that makes fortune cookies and have one of the messages asking for her hand in marriage. Then after dinner, be sure that is the cookie she breaks open. Be sure to personalize it with her name, so she does not think it is general and with no meaning.
4. While she is asleep, carefully slip the ring on her finger. Then before she wakes up, have breakfast or strawberries and champagne ready to be served to her in bed. She will think the gesture is sweet and romantic. Give her a moment to really wake up when she finds this romantic gesture is sitting on her finger.
5. You can switch out her favorite daily ring with her engagement ring in the jewelry box. When she goes to put it on, you will be ready.
6. Take the old cliché of “getting her ring from a Cracker Jack box” and make it happen. Get the ring deep inside the box and reseal it.
7. Go to the nearest bakery, purchase a cake and have the proposal done in icing. Ask the baker if the cake can be displayed in the front window. Then take her on a walk and as you pass the bakery, have the ring ready to go.
8. Similar to the leading candles, put up some string or ribbon from the doorway to the proposal location. Along the string, include little notes of highlights of your relationship together, such as a timeline with first date, first kiss, etc.
9. Devise a gift basket for her that includes some of her favorite delectables such as coffee, tea or sweets. In the basket, include a box containing her engagement ring. If it’s Easter, put the ring in one of the plastic eggs that are in her Easter basket.
10. In the event your woman loves the challenge of a good puzzle, then maybe you can have fun with your proposal idea. With her not home, attach a string or yarn somewhere near the entrance that includes a note stating to “start here.” Then run the string throughout the home, back and forth, through furniture, and cross back over the string several times to make the home look like a giant spider web. At the end of the string could be the ring or you waiting on bended knee. If you opt to be there yourself, be sure it’s in a spot where she cannot see you while she is working the web.
11. If your girl is a beach lover, then you can either write the proposal in the sand or use sticks to form the words. If you go with this idea, be sure to know the tide levels and timing, so it doesn’t wash away your message before she sees it. Another idea at the beach is to do the “Message in a Bottle” idea. Write your love proposal and place it in a bottle and work it out that either she finds it or plan for a local to bring it to her.
