There is nothing better than capturing a fun group of people on their wedding day. The day started at the bride’s parents home in upcountry Kula. When I walked in to the house, I knew immediately that I was in for a great time. The bride who is a hairdresser and makeup artist was down to earth and very casual. In fact she was busy doing her mom’s hair and makeup when I arrived.

The bride and groom from Chicago traveled to Maui with thirty of her closest friends for their special occasion. Their Maui wedding was held at the Lavender Farm located up country in the early afternoon. It had been a raining that day and we were hoping the weather would hold out until after the ceremony. When we arrived it was a bit overcast but we were thankful it wasn’t raining. The strange thing is that once the bride arrived and started to walk up to begin the ceremony, this giant fog bank rolled in and it was so foggy that you almost couldn’t see the couple from where the attendees were sitting. It was actually a bit spooky. The wild thing is that as soon as the couple said, “I do”, to fog rolled out just as quickly. It was truly a wonderful time with two very special people and I was honored to be a part of their day. Congratulations to Scott and Cyrstal!
