Mikiko & Yohei, from Japan, decided to honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii after getting married.  Traveling to Maui was a dream come true for this couple and it was an honor to be able to be a part of it. They envisioned having their photography session captured by a Maui photographer and I can’t explain how much of an honor it was for me to be their photographer.

In Japan, it’s traditional to have honeymoon photos taken in stead of having couples photos taken after the ceremony. So, when I received call from” Yoko Naito” from “Maui Dream Vacations ” asking me to work with her clients, I was pretty excited. I’ve been working with Yoko now for a few years. She specializes in dream vacations and works with Japanese clients coming to Maui.  Most of the clients speak little English, or none at all, so Yoko comes to my shoots as a translator/coordinator. I have to share that I love working with clients from Japan! I enjoy their culture, love their food, and must tell you even if I don’t speak the same language, I walk away from each of these shoots having some new friends from Japan.
