One of our photographers, “Ian Shepherd” had the pleasure of working with one of our wedding anniversary couple’s while they were in Maui recently. The couple was staying in West Maui for their anniversary trip and wanted to be able to have photos taken at sunset near their hotel.  We recommend the closest location where professional photography is allowed called, ” Kapalua Bay”.  The location is about a 15 minute drive north of Kaanapali area and offers a diverse set of backdrops making it a popular location for couples to have their portraits taken on the beach.  There’s a lovely grassy knoll that over looks the ocean, palm trees, greenery and if your feeling adventurous there are some large rock formations that make for a great spot as the sun drops into the sea.  The sunsets are always different on Maui and the one Ian captured for this couple’s portrait session was spectacular.
